Judas (not Iscariot) said, “Master, why is it that you are about to make yourself plain to us but not to the world?
“Because a loveless world,” said Jesus, “is a sightless world. If anyone loves me, he will carefully keep my word and my Father will love him—we’ll move right into the neighborhood. Not loving me means not keeping my words. The message you are hearing isn’t mine. It’s the message of the Father who sent me. -john 14:22
We talked about this scripture last week at house church. What’s funny is that our own group has had countless questions recently…on the how’s and why’s and what’s of the bible. One of the biggest is…if God is so big and good and great, why is He so difficult to understand?
So Judas flat out asks Him (you go, guy).
And Jesus answers, in so many words, don’t concern yourself with that. Just love, and you will see, you will understand, and you will experience a full life.
We find so many excuses, don’t we?
I loves you.
